Sonny Grin & AKOSIA — A Little Taste

December 1st marked on calendars as a day to savor the taste of summer love with the latest track by two of Australia's rising stars.

Sidekick Music, known for its knack in spotlighting extraordinary talent, is thrilled to announce the release of "A Little Taste," a transcendent new single from the synergistic collaboration of AKOSIA and Sonny Grin, dropping on December 1st.

"A Little Taste" is more than just a song; it's an experience, a sonic journey that encapsulates sunsets, the essence of summer love, and the quintessence of beach culture. This track is the fruit of a spontaneous and magical session between the dynamic producer and multi-instrumentalist Sonny Grin and the genre-defying, powerhouse vocalist AKOSIA at a home studio in Sydney, with visuals captured at Melbourne's local beach.

AKOSIA: The Embodiment of Artistic Freedom

AKOSIA, with a voice that weaves raw emotion into every note, transcends the typical boundaries of dance, jazz, and R&B. Her debut EP "Black Diamond" was not just a collection of songs but an emotional tapestry that speaks of love and loss, a narrative crafted in the midst of a global pandemic and personal grief. The artist's reach extends beyond music; her acting prowess was showcased as Bast in Marvel's "Thor: Love and Thunder," and her presence felt in major campaigns with Coles and Maybelline.

Sonny Grin: The Architect of Dance Grooves

Sonny Grin, the Sydney sensation, is the maestro behind the 'RACHA' EP, which resonated deeply with fans and critics alike, featuring the smash hits 'Move Like This,' 'All I Need,' and 'Smile.' His dedication to authenticity and collaboration has made him a staple in the Australian music scene, with a reputation for electrifying live performances and a sound that's a rich tapestry of house, jazz, and soul.

Quotes from the Artists

Sonny Grin remarks on the creative chemistry, "I still find it crazy that within a few hours of meeting, Akosia and I had created one of my favorite songs to date. We both shared a vision for a feel good, house sound, and it was incredible to see this song come to life so quickly. It was one of those rare moments where the music just flowed effortlessly.”

AKOSIA shares her inspiration, "This song is about the intensity and beauty of fleeting moments shared with a loved one. It's a reminder that no matter the distance, the taste of love lingers. Collaborating with Sonny Grin was an effortless and joyful process that I believe shines through in the music."

"A Little Taste" is set to be the anthem for those who crave a sonic representation of love's enduring presence. As December 1st approaches, prepare to immerse yourself in the lush vocals of AKOSIA and the irresistible grooves of Sonny Grin.
